Ghostscript path: Call to undefined function assignfeedback_editpdf\exec()

Ghostscript path: Call to undefined function assignfeedback_editpdf\exec()

I need Ghostscript for the assignment module to work with AnnnotePDF.

I've asked my provider to install Ghostscript, which they kindly did. I've set the path to ghostscript. This is the correct path, cause when I change it, Moodle lets me know the path leads to nowhere.

The problem is that I get  "Call to undefined function assignfeedback_editpdf\exec()" when I test the path and the AnnotatePDF does still not work.

What to do?

Solved by the hosting service.

Suggestion:
Since you are going to use Annotate you also set the path to php-cli (found by using Site Admin search for "PATH".   Setting that path will allow you to run specific jobs in cron jobs.   One of those jobs as to do with Annotate.

I did that and now I can manually run tasks in scheduled tasks in Server/Tasks/Scheduled tasks.

Hi Remco,
some colleagues are experiencing similar problems with PDF Annotation feedback in assigns.
Have you got details concerning what your hosting service has exactly done ?
Thanks in advance !
Olivier

Hi Olivier,

I found it quite a challenge to set this all up. It is not necessarily the hosting service that is the bottleneck, I had a few of those. I asked the hosting service, but got a somewhat cryptic answer back: 'exec' was not removed in the php settings under 'disable function'.
