I installed the Rebel theme ( https://moodle.org/plugins/theme_rebel ) via this method:
Site Administration > Plugins > Install plugins

Everything checked out but there was an issue to check about admin/cli/cron.php having never been run (see image).

Everything proceeded fine until I went to Theme Selector.  When I tried to select Rebel the site crashed and I can no longer access Moodle.  

No we get the error:

This page isn’t working

[site address] is currently unable to handle this request.


HTTP ERROR 500



I don't have access to cPannel and the person who does is on vacation.  Is there any hope for our page?

UPDATE: By removing the Rebel folder from the Moodle theme directory we were able to get the page up and running again, but now we are without the theme again.

What is your Moodle version? Ref. Before you post... read this...

Rebel supports up to Moodle 3.10 > https://moodle.org/plugins/theme_rebel/versions.

I sincerely appreciate your response and I am sorry that I could not provide much information at the time as I was unable to log into our page.

You spotted the issue right away: We are running version 4.0.5 and - as you realized, Rebel is only for up to 3.10.

I will be sure to work with group and make sure we update our version of Moodle further and also find a theme that works with that version too.

I apologize for not being able to give much more information initially, and I am very thankful for your help in spotting the source of our problem too.

The version conflicts among so many components are *the* topic here. Good that you dared to remove the plug-in directory immediately.
