Here is the scenario... I have a Moodle 3.9 server running on SQL server. In order to test 4.1, I have set up a brand new install, with a new SQL Server backend... The blank 4.1 install works fine, and behaves as expected.
Then I take the backup off the old SQL server, and restore it on the new server (old is SQL server 2016, new is SQL server 2022).
It gets to the login screen just fine. But known usernames/passwords don't work. I've verified that the account is a manual account, with exactly the same password string as is functional on the old server, yet all I get is "Invalid login, please try again." I've looked in the logs and see no errors. I've turned on debugging in config.php...
