Creating course administration

Hi

Is there anyway to bypass this thing:

I want to create a role to allow someone to be able to just create courses and I don't want that role to be able to see other parts of administration tree (for example the "Plugins" tab etc. and I know I can hide it, but that's just as the name implies: hiding it, which is not something I'm looking for).

Any ideas?

Can this be done by modifying the back-end part?

Hello there. Use the Course creator role. (That is a link to the documentation)

Thanks for your reply. I'm aware of this role, but there is a problem with that:
This role can create courses individually. What if I want someone with this role to have access to create courses in "bulk" mode?

There is a tracker issue asking for non-admins to be able to bulk upload courses by CSV - I suggest you vote for it and watch its progress MDL-43056
