We are using calculations in the gradebook which require assignment and quiz, etc to have ID numbers to calculate a weekly grade. However when I go back to the gradebook to add the next week activities some of the previous weeks ID numbers are gone. I cannot re-enter the ID number because an error message will appear. The good news is that the calculated items are still working properly and can even be editing. Not sure if it is because Moodle is adding a GI number to replace the original ID number.

Is there a reason why the ID numbers are clearing out?
Not sure if it because I've include alpha characters in the ID numbers, but the first 6 weeks everything was working great until it started. It was gradual from one to two a week to now up to four a week. Just need to figure this out before I continue building this course for an entire school year.
