Good morning community, at the end of the year I will migrate from a hosting company, and I will take this opportunity to update my current version of Moodle. I was wondering what is the safest path to upgrade from version Moodle 3.2.9 (Build: 20180517) to 3.10.3+, my idea is to leave everything ready for when Moodle 4 arrives. I'm currently running PHP 7.1.33.
The official documentation says "3.2.9 on PHP7.1 -> 3.5 on PHP7.1 / 7.2 -> 3.10" but it seems like a pretty long jump to me, is that really safe?

From 3.2.final you can even jump to 3.8.final: https://docs.moodle.org/38/en/Upgrading#Check_the_requirements. But being LTS 3.5 is the usual stepping stone.

Talking of LTS, you might want to know that 3.9 (LTS) is planned to live longer than both 3.10 and 3.11: https://docs.moodle.org/dev/Releases.

Hi @VIsvanath, thank you so much for your advice, the info and the links you shared. I already saved this post in order to user it in the future, I think first I'll run some tests locally (through Xampp) and then I will do the same in the web server.
