Formulas and JSXGraph: Variables

Formulas and JSXGraph: Variables

Can we pass variables from the Formulas question into the JsxGraph code.

I have the students using the 3-4-5 Pythagorean triplet and want to show different lengths on the triangle.

I like writing one question that can be automatically changed by the computer 'randomizing' values for them to use.

All of the examples I am seeing insinuate that it can only pass values out.

Thank you for your help,

Wendy

Hello Wendy,

Passing global variables from the Formulas question to JSXGraph is done by simply enclosing the variables in curly brackets.

Excellent work has been done on Formulas + JSXGraph in the Erasmus ITEMS project by Bernat Martinez et al.: https://moodle.itemspro.eu/ ↗.

Thank you! I have been able to get the formulas question to work. Unfortunately my website can not have Maxima installed, so I am without the Stack type questions.
I appreciate your taking the time to respond!
