Dear Yan Lin,

please refer to the Moodle docs to find out how and where to install Moodle. Acc. to my previous Moodle installations I see 2 possibilities to install moodle:

1. The domain provider offers a Moodle package for automatic installation in the web hosting settings, then you do not have to care and it will be installed in a folder Moodle under the main web content folder depending on the provider normally named "htdocs" , "httpdocs" or in my domain it is called "web" similar.

2. You download the setup files from moodle.org extract this on your local computer and and copy the files to httpdocs (or however your main web folder is called).

You have to decide during the installation where to store your "moodledata". This can be in a different place for safety reasons.

Hi Yan Lin. In another post of yours, you mentioned that you already had a Moodle up and running? However, I am not sure if this site is just there for you to learn.

Moodle can be installed in a million ways. And a lot depends on what you want to do. For example, I run a small Moodle in order to teach 12-15 courses per year, around 500 students per year.

To address your question about "directories," this video that I made about installing Moodle on a VPS might help orient you. I had posted it in another discussion. Remember, however, this is only one of a million ways.

Hello Sir Mr. Rick,
Thank you very much for your kind suggestion.
Regarding to you reply, I just have moodle account which was opened from 'moodle.org'.
I just created one new user account from that page.
But, I still have not installed moodle platform to use as a Learning Management System.
Anyway, your video in your reply is very useful and it can give me one light to continue in using Moodle.

Okay, it appears that you have a MoodleCloud account, which could be used for real courses.

I am not sure if you eventually want to run your own Moodle, which could be done.
