Biggest changes from Moodle 3.1 to Moodle 3.8

Hi, this is my first time posting so I apologize in advance if there's anything wrong with this question.

The Universtity I work on is going to update Moodle from 3.1 to 3.8. It's my job to explain to proffessors which are going to be the most important changes in their daily use of the software. I'm basically watching and reading every overview, and release notes from every version of moodle from 3.2 to 3.8 but I think that won't be enough.

I would really appreciate if anyone who has worked with both versions of Moodle could give tell me their opinion/experience about the most significative changes they perceived. Thanks in advance!

"...and release notes from every version of moodle from 3.2 to 3.8..."

That's THE place to get this information. Unfortunately, we can't tell you which of that big list of changes will be important to your institution and which won't.

This is one of the dangers of delaying upgrading. You then have to justify what might seem like a long list of small (and some big) changes to your users.

I find the overview videos really useful for focusing on the big things, but only you know which parts are important to your institution, so trawling through the release notes is the thing to do. I do this every year for our team - it's time consuming - but necessary.
