Prevent Students from Viewing/Changing their Profile

Hi All,

I'm trying to prevent any changes being allowed to student profiles and if possible remove the profile button from the menu and footer. So far my permissions settings are as follows for students however they can still edit & save their profiles:


I'm using v3.8.3.

I have the same question. Why can't we lock down Student Profiles within the Permissions > Define Roles, Student > Edit. We're running 3.9.1.

Solution:
Note the current settings in Authenticated User permissions in case you need to revert
Make changes in the Authenticated Users permissions to prevent or prohibit access
Then, fix the higher level users (teachers and other roles) to allow them to make those changes

Check Permissions for various user types (student, teacher, et al) and make sure they're what you want.
