Should teacher role receive email notification on send to Announcements forum?

Hi,

Maybe someone could clear up some uncertainty around Announcement Forums for us. Some of our lecturing staff are reporting that they are not receiving a copy of the email notification sent from a posting in an Announcement Forum. I've tested this myself and I'm receiving notifications. Messaging and notification settings are set to send out email notifications. Could anyone clear this up for us?

Did you check their "Forum preferences" in their user profile?
I encountered a "strange" issue in the past, where the "Email digest type" field was set to "Complete" or "Subjects". However, since the "Subscribed forum digests" option in the "Notification preferences" page was set so e-mails won't go out for digest, a user didn't get an e-mail

Also, did you verify that these users get e-mail at all from the Moodle server? It may be an mailbox issue.
