I would like to know this as well, i see that this was asked in 2009 with ZERO responses. Would be very useful if parents could see what their kids are passing/failing specifically.
Yea, so it's possible, it's just complicated to maintain
You'd need to enroll parents into courses along with their child. Each family would need to be put into a unique Group together within each class. You'd need to enroll parents as a modified non editing teacher that cannot manage grades or see users outside their group.
That's the basics of it. You'd have to manually delete these groups (or all course groups) when we you reset your courses or the amount of groups may get out of hand.
