External database log - No log reader enabled

We activated "External database log" and deactivated "Legacy Log" and "Standard Log".

Since "External database log" does not support Activity report, one always reveices the message 

"No log reader enabled"

when trying to view the Activity report in a course.


Is it possible to use the "Activity Report" with "External database log" or do we have to (re)activate "Standard Log"?

You are (unfortunately) quite right. The external log does not support reports.

You can have an external log AND the internal log enabled at the same time. For example, we log 90 days worth of logs to the standard log and everything to an external one.
