Problem with any Boost based themes

Hi Moodlers, I need your help:

We got a Moodle 3.5.7 server. In the last years we used the theme More, but now we would like change to Fordson.

We customized Fordson on a development site (it works well), but after we copy the theme (and all the settings, and CSS customizations) to the production Moodle site it seemd to be ok, BUT some of the courses have a strange problem:
If we turn the editing mode on, everything is ok, but after the turn editing mode off the course contetnt (and the links on the Boost left sidebar) disappear.

We test this problem with a plain Boost theme and some other Boost based themes (eg .: Moove) and the problem is the same.
The error affects only a few courses, but we didn't find any overlap in these courses.

Have you ever met a similar problem?

Thanks,
Csaba

Tárgy: Problem with any Boost based themes

by Csaba Vágvölgyi -

After a few days of testing and troubleshooting we found the solution:

We used the plugin Geolocation condition. This plugin caused the strange error about all boost based themes in some of our courses.

After we uninstalled the plugin, the error has been resolved in all courses involved. What is really strange, that we did not used this plugin in the affected courses.

Best wishes,
Csaba

Hello,

I am the author of the Geolocation condition Plugin. Until know I had no problems at all in various Moodle platforms. Do you have some more details about the error?
