I notice sometimes that the gradebook seems to get a little confused. (I'm using Moodle 3.5 with a modified Boost theme)
First, an item is hidden in the gradebook by going into the Edit Setting page for that grade item and choosing "hide".
Later, that item is made visible in the gradebook by going into the Edit Setting page for that grade item and unticking "hide".
The catch is that if I now go into the grader report "view" tab with editing turned on, I can see all of the little "eye" icons. The eye in the top (control) row is "open" indicating that the item is visible, yet all the individual eyes for each student are still closed, and the students can't see their results. (See attached screen shot)
I know it's an easy fix to just toggle the eye at the top of the row, but I don't understand why this situation occurs in the first place. Has anyone else experienced this? And can anyone tell me what causes it?
It doesn't seem to happen all the time, so I'm wondering if it's some kind of obscure bug?
