Hi. Please could someone help with a bit of guidance on the best way to store custom data for students on our Moodle platform?
We need to store custom enrolment data about students, some of which the teachers will need to see.
Some examples would be:
- the student has viewed and agreed to our Data Protection policy
- a tick box for admin to record if the student has an adult learner loan and that the loan has been approved for a course
- current status of student such as in learning/withdrawn/cancelled/break in learning
Could anyone please advise the best approach to the above? Is there a plugin that I could use to create and manage the student records like this? Do I need to do some custom coding? or do I create an activity or a resource such as a database or a page? I'm not sure how to approach this.
