message sending notifications in plain text format by default?

Hi

I'm upgrading from moodle3.1 to moodle3.5

in moodle3.1,
when a user sent another user a message, under demo.moodle.net/message/
and the user was offline -  moodle sends an email notification with a copy of the sent message.
that email is sent in HTML format.

we upgraded to moodle3.5 and it seems that that email (that is sent when a user is offline and receive a message) is sent in plain text format by default.

can this be set somewhere in the administration panel or anywhere else to send email in HTML format by default?

Hi Patrick,

In Site administration / Users / Accounts / User default preferences you can set the default email format to be HTML.

Otherwise, users can set it in their notification preferences by clicking the Email cog icon, as shown in the attached screenshot.

under "processor settings" the default email format is "Pretty HTML format".
the user preferences  has set his mail format to html format and still the email is sent from messages system in plain text.
any idea why?
