Hiding Particpants

Hi Everyone,

I have a moodle 3.4x implementation that is going to be used for professional training where we don't want students to see each other and I'm using the boost theme.  Since I am going to have students signed up in the same classes but I don't want to have them see each other.  How do I do this?

I found this Moodle Tracker post that seems to have a work around - https://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-26946

Is this the only option or is there a better approach?

Thanks!

My understanding of Moodle is that it has always promoted a collaborative approach to Moodle. The original Tracker item goes back to 2011, and been somewhat ignored until now. The idea would be to do this from the Site Admin > Users > Permissions > Define Roles  and select the cog for the Student Role, I would think. Doing it at the Course level is messy and labour intensive. The change to the Capabilities and Permissions of Users is the quickest and cleanest way of achieving your goal, if it still works, of course.
