Find string identificator of words at message module

Hi!

I want to change the profile screen words in the messaging, but I can not get it to show me the origin and the identifier when I put the debug. I can see the origin on all the screens but the words inside the profile do not come out. 

Why? How can I change these words?

If you use the language customization tool, you can:

  • select all the moodle *.php files,
  • type 'Send message' in the 'Only string containing' textbox.
  • note the many strings shown in the results
  • change (locally customize) only one string at a time
  • purge caches
  • check if it worked
  • if no change is seen, restore the changes string to the original content

Wow, I was going crazy getting more options and their translations in the profile when I entered the translations in the file lang/en/message.php and did not notice changes ... it was to purge the cache!
