Does anyone know how to remove the navigation at the bottom of a chapter in a book which has a drop down box entitled "Jump to". It's a bit of a distraction to the content. It doesn't seem related to the book itself, as you have the chapter navigation on the right (which you can set to none).
I am using Moodle 3.4 (Build 20171113) and Essential theme.

Us too. Our school is interested in being able to turn off the 'Jump to' option at the bottom of activities.
Add custom css, it can be possible if your theme has option to put custom css from front-end theme>yourtheme>custom css option

If you go into the settings for your book and go to 'Appearance', under 'Style of navigation' if you choose 'TOC only' the navigation links will disappear and the user will navigate via the TOC only. I don't know if that helps as it's not exactly what you wanted and removes the navigation from both top and bottom ...
