In our installation when an instructor goes to grade an assignment submission a conversion to pdf takes place and would display a blank page if either a) the student did not upload a file submission, or b) the file type uploaded is not supported by the converter.
It is my understanding that this was the case for all installations at some point (please correct me if I am wrong), however I went on demo.moodle.net and saw that if I go to grade an assignment with no submission the blank page is not generated and only the submission and feedback boxes show (screenshot attached).
This is great and is the desired behaviour!
I am wondering if this is a fix that was made available in the most recent releases, I checked https://docs.moodle.org/dev/Category:Moodle_3.3 for all versions and I could not find a ticket that seemed to discuss resolving this.
Does anyone know when this was integrated? We would like to merge that specific commit into our code base.
