I ran across what appears to be a bug today in Moodle 3.3. When a user uploads a photo file attachment to a forum post or reply, and that image is vertical, Moodle rotates the image to horizontal and displays it horizontally. I repeated this error with one of my own images, shot on an iPhone, so it would have the EXIF data that specifies vertical orientation.
I did find a work around, but it is not ideal. I could open the image on my laptop, and then rotate it two times, first to horizontal, then save it. Then back to vertical and save it. Then when I uploaded it to the forum as an attachment it stayed vertical.
I attach a vertical image here as an example, which was shot with an iPhone.
Any thoughts, or should I post this to Tracker?
