Does anyone know if there is a way to remove the text of a message from the email notifications of messages?
It may seem like a strange request, but we need to keep a record of communications and therefore need our students and tutors to use the messaging system rather than replying by email. What happens at the moment is that students substitute the no-reply email address with their tutor's and reply by email because it is often more convenient than clicking the link to the message - especially when they have already typed a reply to the email because they didn't realise it was a Moodle message. However, if the notification could just say "You have a new message", they would have to click the link to the messaging system to read it and it would then be easier for them to reply with a Moodle message.
Alternatively, is there a way that email replies to message notifications could go through Moodle as messages?
