I am now trying moodle 3.3 and it seems that the 'trick' of
hiding resources/activities under an orphaned topic but still accessible to
enrolled students can no longer be used
Basically I want to put resources/activities into the course front page without showing any default icon and name of the resources to the students. To allow enrolled students to the resources, I want to put my own labels on the course front page and then hyper-link these labels to the actual url of the resources. The mentioned orphaned topic method work very well until ver 2.9 but now I can no longer do this since moved to ver 3. Any chance of do this again in the current version? Are there cleaner methods available?
Any advice appreciated.
