Hide competencies at course level

Hide competencies at course level

If you want to use competencies site-wide you need to make sure "enable competencies" is ticked, which it is by default.

Some users may want to use them, many won't. We will be upgrading to Moodle 3.2 in the summer and I wondered if anyone has found a way to hide the link to competencies at course level from the Navigation block or the navigation drawer in Boost? Ideally these options could be enabled but hidden with a course level option to say "use competencies". Same goes for badges TBH.

Any thoughts or ideas appreciated.

Thanks

Jim

Hi Jim,

Recently I installed a local plugin called "Boost navigation fumbling" and downloaded it from Github. This plugin allows hiding some nodes in the nav drawer and may be a starting point for hiding competencies and badges on a course level as well. At our site, I hid calendar and private files.

With kind regards,

Hartmut

I would also like to hide the link to competencies or disable them at course level but I'm using Essential theme, not Boost.

Any suggestions?
