Reading the documentation on creating aliases, I'm lead to believe that the original file can be anywhere in Moodle, but I can only get the alias/copy prompt if I'm picking a file from my Private files. What I want to do is have one shell with file resources and then create aliases in other course shells to point to those resources. If it's in my Private files, than no other instructors would be able to update the original file.
Have I misunderstood the documentation, or is something not working as it should?
