we are using quizzes with two random questions drawn from a category (Moodle 3.1).
Is it possible to remove a problematic question from the question pool after students have taken a quiz with that question so that it won't be graded?
How can I remove a problem question after the quiz has been taken?
Setting the score for that question to 0 as described here doesn't work.
Any clues?
Did you regrade the quiz after changing the question grade? That should have worked. You cannot remove a question after the quiz has submissions.

Unfortunately setting the default mark in the question settings doesn't have an effect on the grading, even after regrading the quiz.
