A fast way to add new possible answers to quiz short answers questions

Hi All

We are using more and more pattern match and short answer questions in our assessment. As always it is impossible to guess all the possible answers that students might pose and which we will consider correct. So initially the quiz needs to go through many iterations until we have added all the possible answers students have come up with. (I think in earlier versions there was a way around 1.6 or so) but we think there is a call for a fast way to add new possible answers to quiz short answers questions by looking at students answers on the stats page and then click approve as new possible answer. From this page it would be good to have a function that you could take an answer given and approve it as a new answer and then regrade.

Currently it is a labourious process of having to open up the question and add each answers manually.

Do any of you have the same need

Cheers Scott

This is a nice idea, that has been talked about in the past, but I don't think it has ever been implemented.

Hi Scott,

Are you really interested in the statistics report? or actually the response report? The statistics page has a link to edit the question from that report. The response report would seem more useful for spotting new answers, but it does not have a edit link on the question. It should be easy to add one to the renderer if that would help.
