posts are remaining unread after deleting

Hi,

I just removed 3 posts and replies from one forum after my course test was finished and now at running course, although forum is seen by my students, it says that there are 3 unread (in course page) in front of forum name.

How can I overcome this?

Ok.

For documentation,

I do not know if it was a bug or not, But I deleted 3 entries (form test phase) from database (table: *_forum_posts, where parent was my forum ID from forum url) and it is not showing unread message count any more.

I do not know why they even exist in my database since forum post removal will remove entries permanently from database (as I read previously here).
