Hi,

We configured LDAP module to get our users from Active Directory. I scheduled "LDAP users sync job" and transferred all the users from AD to Moodle.

But it transferred only usernames.

How can I synchronize first names, last names and email addresses too?

As long as they can login, that isn't a problem.

Moodle will pick up these extra details on their first login (as long as you set the LDAP module up correctly).

is it possible to get the data before they login? I want to assign them courses based on their departments before they login.

The sync will pull everything that you have set up to sync - they do not need to log in first.  Did you add the fields on your ldap settings page under data mapping?
