Does Dataform have any "macro" reporting features at this point, like searching through Dataform records created in several different courses in your Moodle site? Would a plugin like Configurable Reports work with Dataform?
The CSV view type allows you to create an aligned view which is also exportable to csv. Since you can create multiple views, this allows you to create multiple predefined reports. The view exports textual content as you see it in the view. Html content is exported as html. Files can be exported (and imported) as base64.
You can definitely use the configurable reports plugin to create custom reports that draw data from the Dataform tables.
