Floating start date with weekly format

I'd like the course to be in the weekly format and start either at the students choosing or at the date of purchase.


the student will get to see all the materials posted in the forums etc from previous students.


Is there a way of doign this in Moodle?

Hi,

I haven't seen a solution for flexible start dates with a weekly course format in the Moodle forum. The periods format doesn't allow flexible start dates. Your topic was partly discussed in "Something between Weekly and Topics format." You probably need to use the topics course format with activity completion settings and an enrollment plugin (see HERE).

Thanks Hartmut ... I'll give the topics course format a go as you suggested. 

I'm also integrating with WooCommerce in Wordpress so will probably use an integration plug in to auto-enrol the student when the course is purchased in WP. Hopefully this will still work ... fingers crossed.
