This course format allows to set duration for each section (period) in days, weeks, months or years. Each individual section (period) may override this duration.

The course settings allow automatically collapse or hide past or future periods. For the past periods it is possible to hide them from course view page but have each individual module still accessible through reports and/or gradebook. Also it is possible to hide past periods only if all activities in them are completed and show otherwise.

Current section is automatically highlighted.

Please note that this format takes advantage of the new feature introduced only in 2.8 (see MDL-46937), so it will not work properly on 2.7.

    Hello Marina,
It is great to have such skills contributor for expanding Moodle capabilities.
I have one question relative to your Periods Format plugin: Can students be enrolled for a certain time duration instead of calendar duration ? for example 3 hours max (whenever they login) instead of 2 weeks access ? Thanks a lot and compliments. HENRI

Felicitaciones por el desarrollo, muy buen producto... Lo único que no he podido hacer, es mostrarles los periodos a los estudiantes.

    Marina,
Version 3.3.1 is not available as a branch on git. V 3.3.0 is the 'main' branch. If you look at https://github.com/marinaglancy/moodle-format_periods you'll see that this is the case. Would you please update the 'main' branch with the minor update please? Thanks

    Hello Marnia,
Is there a possibility to make the start date of the course dynamic relative to enrollement date (like the new feature in moodle's weekly format).

    Thanks

Marina, this plugin looks really good. Congratulations! Lots of our teachers would like a period-dependent course structure with configurable period lengths. It seems like your plugin does this handsomely.

Are you planning to create a version for Moodle 3.11 or Moodle 4.0?
