Use of ENTER Key in Quizzes

Use of ENTER Key in Quizzes

Greetings, all.

My students regularly complain that they can't advance a quiz question with the "ENTER" key--which would be must faster than the use of a mouse or touchpad.  I can understand that.

This is especially desired on time quizzes, as we use timing to prevent cheating as often as possible.

Is there a reason why the ENTER doesn't advance, for example, a short answer question?

Is there a way to allow this?

Thanks, as always.

Hi William,

Are you referring to the "next" button between each question/page?

You can use the Enter button on a keyboard to activate this button, but first you need to TAB through the page a few times until you get to it. If fact, you can tab through the entire quiz itself.

By hitting tab/tabbing through the page, it moves a selection field (aka 'the focus') -- right now it's over the "True:"

Two more Tabs, and the 'focus' is over the "check" button. By hitting enter, the check button would activate.

If you keep tabbing down the page, the 'focus' will finally reach the Next button, and you can hit Enter to activate it.
