Essential - Moodle Mobile Compatability

I notice in the Header settings of Essential that you may add an icon for home screens.

What format for the icon is supported?

If icon is not being displayed on MM, should I report this in that forum?

The setting already gives you the answer "Icon should be a PNG files sized 57px by 57px.".

This is for when the theme is viewed in a web browser on the mobile device.

Themes for MM are a separate entity.  Essential is not such an entity.

MM uses its own interface.  It is not complete, so when it navigates to areas that are incomplete it uses the mobile browser instead.  When it is complete the problem will not happen as Essential will not be used at all from within MM.  You will need a bespoke MM if you want different styles etc. or customise using the facilities provided.  TBH I don't know for sure.
