we would like a student to be notified once their quiz/assignment/submission (mostly for quizzes) has been graded. I have had a comprehensive look at the settings, php files, forum posts and more, but couldn't find where one could do this. I came across one possible solution on the Moodle Forums, however it requires you to make core changes - which of course is not ideal nor recommended. Previous versions of Moodle seemed to have included this feature, but not anymore. Is there a reason for this? Otherwise, do you know of a (safe, non-core-changing) way of doing this? If there is not a current solution for this, is there a reason for it? Functionality limitations, compatibility issues, or similar? If there are no limitations or issues, I might have to look into developing this (and possibly submit it to Moodle if it works well?). We're using Moodle Version 2.9
