New install - images don't display on remote browsers

New install - images don't display on remote browsers

Hello. I just installed moodle and it works great when displayed in a web browser on the machine that moodle is installed on. However, when I access it from any other computer's web browser, the images don't display. Instead of an image, I see only a icon that appears like a document with a red x in it.

The PHP extension php_gd2 is enabled, and when I installed all items indicated that they were working properly.

This site is behind a firewall so it is not publicly accessible.

Any help is much appreciated.

Hi!

I think, I resolved that problem.

Namely, according to indications of some guys here, in config.php in the statement $CFG->wwwroot = 'http://127.0.0.1/moodle'; I replaced 127.0.0.1 with real IP address of the moodle server.

Since that moment browsing of the moodle pages on workstations in the LAN became correct.

Regards,

Andy

Hi all,

first time in this forum...

I've got a similar problem, only a little bit more subtle:

When entering the Moodle home page all images are missing. After loggin in all images are in place... What is it?

YES, wwwroot is set to the real IPA

YES, acceptPathInfo is ON

slasharguments is set to the first item (file.php?file=/pic.jpg)

Thanks all!

Peppe.

Yes, as others have said, in config.php $CFG->wwwroot I replaced 127.0.0.1 with real IP address of the moodle server.

I had to take one more step after this, I had to remove all images from my moodle site, save, re-add the images, save, and it worked great after that.

How did you remove the images?
As teacher, as adminstrator?

What did you save?
The images, the profiles?

As administrator. I went to Administration->Configuration->Site Settings, removed the images and saved. Then I returned to Site Settings, added the images, saved again. It works great after that (note that this was after replacing 127.0.0.1 with the real IPAddress).
