How do I embed schemes made with Dia Diagram Editor?

Hallo,

I would like to use the open source software 'Dia Diagram Editor' (from: http://dia-installer.de/index.html.en)

to create diagrams, arrow charts etc. Does someone know how to import such a diagram into a Moodle-page?

In which Moodle-block can I embed such a vector diagram?

Thanking you in advance for your answer, I remain,

Rges

That is more of a dia/web question than Moodle. Unless you absolutely must have vector display the easiest option is to export in a bitmap, it will do  png. If you must have vector then probably the most common format is svg. If you want to manipulate the svg further then you might import it into inkscape and manipulate it further.

My last suggestion is don't use Dia, it is limited and has not moved on in a very long time. Although it was not designed specifically for this you might be as well off using the drawing tool in OpenOffice.

Hallo Marcus,

Thank you for your advice.

I have now installed OpenOffice 4.1.1 (I see that Oracle is no longer the owner, but Apache).

I will start experimenting with OO-Daw.
