Hello All!

Request MoodleGurus input on the following:

There has be much recent discussion on approaches to either doing one or both of the following:

  • Creating code for centralized grades from "jump street"
  • Creating a way/process to move toward centralized grades sequentially by "module"

I am just listing the following links to bring the perspective to a more recent review and reflection.

WP1, your collection of forum posts on the topic of a centralized grades table is very useful. I don't have any more information about it. At the Moodle Moot in Savannah Martin has reiterated that we are definitely going to have one before Moodle 2.0 (because it is a prerequisite for an efficient implementation of the advanced functionality planned for 2.0 (see Roadmap), but we still don't have a specification.

As soon as we have decided on the initial set of fields that the grades table will have and their types we can convert modules one-by-one to write their grades to the central table.
