Hi All Moodle Community Members,
I am working with Galgotias University. We have an app for Galgotias University. I just need some assistance regrading how to install Moodle is it compatible with my system. What are the basic requirements for installing moodle. I have read the instruction for it but i am little confused. Please help !!

What - specifically - is confusing? We will try to help
The latest, stable version on the download page is 2.8. If in doubt, use that!
Latest Versions are the best however there might be a plugin that does not work with Latest versions
for people that just start with MOODLE i think the latest 2.8 version is the best.
download moodle4mac, just double click on the dmg file
make sure that MAMP was set up for he usual ports for Apache and MySQL, port 80 and 3306 that is, instead of the 8888 and 8889 (which are the default after installing MAMP)
search for the file envvars in Finder, and rename it to _envvars.
After doing those two steps, you could start both Apache and MySQL again.
then visit http://localhost:8888/moodle28/ you will see moodle in full glory, login as admin and password 12345 (this will be available on the local network, if you need to be visible to the internet make needed changes in the Apache files)

Duleep, where do you see required Moodle installation on Macintosh?

I meant, in reference to Galgotias University, where they haven't mentioned they are installing on MAC O/S?

That's why I asked Duleep as he mentioned MAMP server installation whilst likely you were using a Windows Based System!
