Can a single user be added to more than one cohort at a time?  

We currently have 2 system level cohorts in place.  The first cohort is used to group newly created accounts and cohort sync them into an Intro to LMS course.  

Once the user has completed the Intro to LMS course, they are then moved to the second cohort, which is used to allow self enrollment into any of the other courses within the LMS.


My problem is that when I move a user from cohort 1 to cohort 2, the records for the users time in the Intro to LMS course are also removed (unenrolled).


I am wondering if I could just suspend the user in the Intro to LMS course AND enroll them into the new cohort (cohort 2) thereby allowing them to self enroll into any of the other courses within the LMS.
