I have some teachers who want a quiz to show up in the grade book and be calculated, but as a point value, not a percent-correct.
Participants are required to complete the pre and post-test in each session. Completion of the tests satisfies the requirements - these are not graded assignments. However, failure to complete the tests will result in a loss of points toward the final grade.
The rubric point scale they wish to use is based on a 2-point scale.
2 points: Both pre and post tests are completed within the specified timeframe
1 Point : Only one (pre or post) test is completed in the specified timeframe.
0 points: Pre and Post tests are not completed in the specified timeframe
They set up each quiz for this course with unlimited attempts, Highest grade, Maximum grade 100%
They found that if they set "maximum grade” at "2,” the system scored as 2%, which was worse than before.
So, the instructor has then been entering the gradebook and resets the scores for each test to 1.
What would you suggest they should do to accomplish what they wish?
They already have the quizzes set up and would like to continue touse them. Is there a quiz configuration that you might suggest to help them achieve their desired 2 points? They want users to get 1 point for completion, regardless of accuracy.
They are using Sum of Gades aggregation on a 2.6 Moodle version.
