I am running 1.5 on FC3, I have just added the 'block-reference' block and the import powerpoint to the lesson module. However when I go to the admin screen they are totally ignored, nothing happens, no install or update triggers and they are not available in the relevant place in Moodle. I realise they might not be compatible with 1.5 but thought that at least they would be recognsied by the system as new.
Moodle 1.5 has code to detect whether a block that you add to your blocks directory is 1.5 compatible. If it detects an incompatible block, it will ignore it. A warning message is only printed if you are upgrading a version 1.4 Moodle with that block already installed, in which case it will print the warning message and uninstall the block.
Ahhh, so Moodle is smarter than me!
