Problem with plugins after upgrading to v2.6.1

After upgrading from v2.5.3 to v2.6.1 a new sections within the plugins overview appeared called 'forumngfeature' and 'forumngtype'.  It complains that all the plugins within this area are missing from disk. These did not exist in v2.5.3

Does anyone know why this should be and how to resolve the problem?

Do you have the mod_forumng add-on installed? Did you ever have it installed in the past?

Never had it installed. Also looked in the plugin downloads here and cannot find it either.

Here is a case study of one: we had installed NG something like 2.1 > 2.2.

On upgrade from 2.2>2.4 it was not ready for use, and we merely disabled it. Sadly.

We then got various errors complaining there were items missing until we went in and deleted all the folders to do with NG as well.  ie disabling in the plugin page did not seem to be enough.

So: maybe you have tried it once in the distant past and there is a folder on the server some sript is worrying about.

I should add. Those warnings will almost certainly not cause any problems for your site. You can ignore them.

Alternatively, if you really wanted do, you could probably get rid of them by cleaning up some old data in the database, but you would have to be confident manually editing the database.

Weird but the act of going into ‘Site Administration > Plugins > Enrolements > EBS Enrolement’ which was another plugin it was also complaining was missing but the above option was there, appears have made the EBS enrollment appear found and other missing plugins to disappear from the plugin overview.

There is still one plugin it is complaining about which is a valid complaint (missing local plugin).
