Hello

I used the plugins like External tools basicLTI to integrate moodle and word press SSO.

Thanks to the community, I could use SSO for moodle +WP

Problem is when I login to moodle as admin and click on external tool WP, I get loging as administrator in wordpress.Thats great!!!

But when any other user logging in moodle and clicks on WP, they get administrators previlages in WP.

And

It shows all the users as the administrator's name in the username....

It does not take email also....

Ideally the user filed that are there in moodle must be carried into WP.

How to achive this???

Thanks

Umesh

ohhhkk I did not notice earlier that its a basic toolbar on the left appears to every user with limited options.

but then why its taking moodle amin's name as username for all the users?..

why it is not taking email ID of that user?....

so if in future the user wants to login the same username and password dirctly on WP, will it work?

In my experience with the LTI plugins

  • Teachers = WP Admin role
  • Students = WP Author Role

Not sure about your naming convention but with every LTI setup I have done the only way to properly access Wordpress is via the Moodle Activity.  I couldn't login to wordpress from wordpress.  Login always flows from Moodle to Wordpress.  That is why the LTI connection exists.
