Manager can't delete and sort sub-categories 2.3.6+

Hi!

Does somebody know how to allow manager to have abilities to sort sub-categories in his categories, and how to delete subcategories? As far as I can notice manager can only add new categories (not delete) and add/delete/sort courses in categories.

Hello there. A manager in a category should be able to delete subcategories in the category he/she manages. Here is the documentation on the capability if that helps http://docs.moodle.org/en/Capabilities/moodle/category:manage

Voted for this. Just to be grumpy on a lovely, sunny Saturday, I think this is not a "minor" problem if you expect managers to be able to do their job.

Hi Everyone,


I came across this situation where I have Manager role to a category, but I am not seeing the Settings/Administration/TurnEditingOn features to add sub-categories in this category. I know that the Manager role has capability moodle/category:manage set to Allow. 

Is there any other capability that is missing for this role? I would like to add, edit and delete sub-categories. My moodle version is 2.6.
