I have added one of our teachers several times to a course. His name shows on the teacher list until the next day, and then it's gone. This only happens with one teacher - the others stay on the list. Any ideas how I can get his name to stick?
Which version of Moodle? Did the user self-register, or is it a manually-added account? Is his account confirmed?
Version 1.9.9. It is a manually added account. I'm not sure what you mean by confirmed. He has logged in so I assume it's an active account.

Your user has logged in so his account is confirmed (that is when a new user signs up but doesn't complete the confirmation process)
When you are adding the teacher check the 'Enrolment duration' setting (which is displayed between the role you are assigning and the boxes displaying the existing and potential users) to ensure it does not say 1 day.
Also check Administration ▶ Server ▶ Cleanup to ensure the admin setting isn't "cleaning up".
