I administrate several moodle sites, all of them are 1.9

Only on one of them i have problem:

Teachers have no icons for moving resources and activities (see picture). there are no arrows. Only administrator can to that.

I don't know is it relevant, baut second administrator of that moodle site installs and uninstalls many modules. Now, on the top of the site I have these lines:

Module "amfphp" is not readable - check permissions
Module "blocks" is not readable - check permissions
Module "package" is not readable - check permissions
When I try to chabge system roles to someone's I have warnings like this:

How can I enable my teacher to move items again?

You coud tell your second administrator that each package that he/she installs should go to a correct folder - modules to mod - blocks to blocks - and other libraries etc to such subfolders where they belong.

Now folder mod has 3 subfolders that should be elsewhere: amfphp should probably be in lib folder and he/she might have moved blocks under mod folder and finally there is that package subfolder - what on earth is inside it???

If your second administrator has been succesful to mess up all other folders as well it might be wise to rename the whole moodle site (/home/skolbib/public_html/el-kurs) and download/reinstall a fresh version of latest moodle 1.9.9+ to the place of old folder, move old config.php there and possible custom themes and activities (fresh versions) and this way upgrade to the latest stable moodle.

If there is a risk that this operation fails you could start from old folder mod and delete those sub folders mod/amfphp, mod/blocks and mod/package - it might help if nothing else is in the wrong place...

Well, thank you, that moodle looks really very "messy", I made first mistake that I gave administrator rights to so fearless person...

The course with many students already starts, and now I must wait a few weeks for experiment that you suggest. I will do that when the course is completed.

However, my question was about this stuation:

no moving icons

(but my picture don't apeear in mu post...)

Only administrators have rights to move resources and activities up-down and left-right, but teachers only have icons for editing, deleting and hiding resources and activities.

How can I fix that problem?

Are you able to post your image in a different format so it appears? Whern administrators can move items what icon do they have? Is it like handlebars (which means Ajax is enabled) or like two arrows, up and down?

Solved...

2nd admin changed something in table "Manage roles", but there is nothing called "moving activities items..." when I try to find something like that.

When I reset to defaults it works... Thanks a lot for trying to help me...
