Course Completion, Moodle 1.9.9

Course Completion, Moodle 1.9.9

I have a feeling that this might not be possible pre-Moodle 2.0, but....

I have a few courses that are set up as topics, each topic having a SCORM activity. Some of them are just informational, and are set up as 'Learning Objects' - they can be 'complete' or 'incomplete', which means they get a score of 1 or 0 in the Gradebook. Other SCORM activities are tests, and are scored 0-100, with a defined pass mark.

The grade book is storing the scrom scores correctly, but I want to be able to record what a student needs to do to be deemed to have 'completed' a course. e.g. they might need to pass the test with 80%, or they might just need to view each of the non-test modules.

I can't find a setting or documentation to help with this. Can anyone help?

Thanks

Off the top of my head I would look at grade book categories and I WOULD use aggregate empty grades so that items not attempted are factored into a course total.
