Hi all,

just a little post to "advertise" the free software PhoTransEdit, which I've been using for a while. You can use it to easily transcribe English into phonetics, be it unicode format or HTML. The database is impressive, and you can add words to make it more complete.
It has been developped by a phonetics enthusiast, and it's free. Now, the programme will soon cease to function (and some people have trouble installing it on Win 7 or Vista) because of obsolete programming language. The author is now asking for donations to be able to buy some software that will allow him to program Photransedit 2.0.
If you need phonetics in Moodle, try it out, you'll be impressed. And if you like it, make a donation. or not. It's up to you!

BTW, if you have trouble installing the current version of PhoTransEdit, let me know, I found a workaround.
